  1. Private vehicle pick-up at your Xi'an city hotelYour private vehicle collects you from your hotel in central Xi'an.
  2. Terracotta Army MuseumThe Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, often called the Eighth Wonder of the World, presents the military organisation and craftsmanship of the Qin empire more than two thousand years ago in full. Thousands of terracotta figures stand in battle formation, each with a different expression, hairstyle and suit of armour, showing remarkable realism and artistic value. Walking into the pits feels like standing on an ancient battlefield; it is a deeply impressive World Heritage Site and an essential stop for understanding China's unification and its archaeological achievements.
  3. Huaqing PoolHuaqing Pool lies at the foot of Mount Li and has been famous for its hot springs since ancient times, its name carried down the centuries by the love story of Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei. Palace ruins, thermal pools and the mountain backdrop set each other off, revealing the luxury and romance of Tang imperial life. The site was also the scene of the Xi'an Incident, so it combines a legendary romance with modern history in a place of unusually rich cultural depth.
  4. Xi'an City WallThe Xi'an City Wall is the largest and best-preserved Ming-dynasty city wall surviving in China, running about 13.7 km around the whole of the old city. From the top you can look over the historic districts inside and the modern cityscape outside at the same time, a striking contrast of old and new. The wall itself is imposing, with its gates, barbicans and corner towers well preserved, making it an important example for the study of ancient Chinese military defences. Whether on foot, by bicycle or at sunset, it is a classic stop for getting to know Xi'an's history in depth.
