The brightly coloured capsules are irresistibly cute, a dream ride for couples, families and friends. Each private capsule lets you watch the sea and take photos in your own little world.

Cheongsapo railway crossing, Korea's 'Slam Dunk' crossing

Cheongsapo railway crossing (Korea's 'Slam Dunk' crossing)

A railway crossing near Cheongsapo that became an overnight sensation for its resemblance to the famous scene in the Japanese manga Slam Dunk. With the endless blue sea behind and trains passing through, it feels like stepping into the anime. It has become a dream photo stop for visitors, and on a clear day the picture is especially lovely.

Haeundae Traditional Market

Haeundae Traditional Market

A local market close to Busan's famous beach, where traditional and modern snack culture meet. Stalls sell classic Korean street food such as tteokbokki, gimbap and seafood pancakes at friendly prices with warm service. A stroll through it feeds both your appetite and your sense of everyday local life.

Busan X the Sky Observatory

Busan X the Sky Observatory

Occupying the 100th and 101st floors of LCT The Sharp, Busan's tallest building, this is the highest sea-view observatory in Korea. From up here you look down on Busan Port, the Gwangan Bridge and the whole Haeundae shoreline in one vast sweep. Inside there is a glass floor walkway and a sky cafe, and the view changes character between day and night.

Songdo Cloud Trails

Songdo Cloud Trails

A transparent glass walkway suspended over the sea, 365 metres long and one of Busan's signature coastal sights. The path curves out across the water, so you feel as if you are walking on the sea itself, a mix of thrill and romance. The views are different again by day and by night.

Songdo Marine Cable Car

Songdo Marine Cable Car

Linking Songdo Beach with Amnam Park, the cable car runs about 1.6 kilometres in a ten-minute ride. Choose a crystal cabin with a transparent floor for the thrill of looking straight down at the sea and the walkway below. Taking in the Songdo coast from the air is an experience unique to Busan and a highlight of any visit.

Jagalchi Market

Jagalchi Market

Busan's largest seafood market, piled high with the freshest catch and all kinds of seafood dishes. Pick your own seafood and have it prepared on the spot: raw fish, crab, octopus and more at their most authentic. The calls of the vendors and the bustle of the stalls are full of local character, an unmissable food experience.

BIFF Square

BIFF Square

Birthplace of the Busan International Film Festival, the square brings together street food, film culture and street art. The handprints of Asian film stars set into the pavement make it a pilgrimage spot for film lovers. Cafes and shops cluster nearby, making it a good place for shopping and a taste of Busan's urban charm.

Haedong Yonggungsa Temple

Haedong Yonggungsa Temple

A Buddhist temple set between the hills and the sea, whose remarkable position never fails to impress. With more than 600 years of history, it is one of Korea's rare seaside temples. Climb the stone steps to the grand main hall, the statue of the Goddess of Mercy and the stone pagodas where visitors pray, all in a setting of quiet solemnity: a feast for the spirit and the eye alike.

Nakdong River Rail Bike

Nakdong River Rail Bike

Hop on a retro rail bike and glide along the banks of the Nakdong River, enjoying the scenery and the breeze. The ride ends at the atmospheric Wine Cave, where wine-making culture meets light installations for a touch of European flair. Whether for photos, the experience or a relaxed glass of wine, it is hard to tear yourself away.

Gamcheon Culture Village

Gamcheon Culture Village

Hailed as the 'Machu Picchu of Korea', this hillside village has been turned into a fairytale world of colourful stepped houses and painted walls. Rebuilt from an old neighbourhood, it weaves art together with local history and is Busan's most iconic cultural sight. Its narrow lanes hide countless photo surprises.
