DAY1

Sea of Kyoto Day Tour | Amanohashidate, Ine Funaya Boathouses and Optional Kyoto Tango Railway

  1. Kyoto hotel → AmanohashidateLeave Kyoto for Amanohashidate. Depending on your preference, ride up to the viewpoint to look out over the sandbar and the bay, or take a leisurely walk along the pine-lined path. Lunch is your own choice from the seafood and local dishes nearby, with time kept for a rest and photos. You need not do both the viewpoint and the full sandbar walk; the plan is adjusted to energy and traffic.
  2. Ine funaya boathouses stroll → Optional sightseeing boatIn the afternoon, continue to Ine and follow the public waterfront to admire the funaya boathouses, the fishing harbour and the calm bay, settling into the rhythm of fishing-village life. If you would like to see the boathouses from the water, a sightseeing boat can be added, subject to operating hours and the time available. Private homes are not entered; please respect residents' daily lives while walking and taking photos.
  3. Return to Kyoto; Kyoto Tango Railway can be swapped in on requestAfter a rest around the bay, return to Kyoto, allowing for the long drive and a break along the way. If you would like to ride the Kyoto Tango Railway, the departure time, section and train type can be confirmed at booking, replacing part of the time at Amanohashidate or Ine. The train ride is a custom option, and fitting every item into a single day is not guaranteed.
10 hours. The order of stops is adjusted to traffic and reservations, and fixed arrival times are not guaranteed.
